The Nanny State

Don’t you just love the “Nanny” state?
Liberals always know what’s best for everyone, in all circumstances. The busy body nature of their desire to control our lives would be funny, if it weren’t so darn annoying.
Take the School board nannies of Sarasota Springs, N.Y.
Adam Marino’s parents, in an attempt to promote the physical fitness of their 7th grade son, purchased a bike and have encouraged him to ride it to school every day.
But not so fast, the School board nannies know better, they have a rule prohibiting students from riding bikes to school. And they don’t allow children to walk to school either, so take that you overzealous parents, the state nannies know what’s best for Adam.
Progressives just love to manage your business, anything that smacks of parental rights must be squelched quickly before people start thinking for themselves. Heaven knows what might happen if we discovered we really don’t need nannies.
