Health Care and the Trojan Horse
In Just a Thought, November 20th, 2009
Have you ever heard the term “Trojan Horse”?
Congress is about to foist a “Trojan Horse” on all of us in the health care reform bill.
A Trojan horse is something that looks inviting but hidden within is a dangerous threat. The term comes from a tactic used during the ancient Trojan wars when enemy troops were smuggled inside their opponent’s defenses to open the gates and allow the invading army to conquer the city.
Congress, in a very deceitful way, has buried a Trojan horse in the health care bill. In order to make it appear as if the reforms have been fully paid and will not add anything to the ballooning national debt, they have passed a huge bill on to the states in the form of new Medicaid responsibilities.
I don’t know any other way to say this, when your elected officials tell you they have paid for healthcare reform, they are lying!
