What does the government’s response to the swine flu “crisis” tell us about the government’s ability to manage our health care?

Given several months notice of the impending “crisis”, and using the full authority of government to buy up the entire supply of H1N1 vaccine to ensure distribution to the most endangered groups of people, we should expect a smooth operation protecting the most vulnerable among us. How did it work out?

If, swine flu had been as wide spread and deadly as predicted, the government’s handling of this public health issue would have made Katrina relief look like a well oiled response.

Was it a crisis? Fortunately not, the president didn’t even bother to get his children vaccinated. But this keystone cops gang wants you to believe they can effectively run your health care?
