Have you heard about the liberal’s 2010 spending bill just signed by the President?

After a year in which the federal government spent more than any time in history, and ran up a 1.4 trillion dollar debt, you might think that there would be a little restraint in Washington as they approach the New Year’s budget. Yes, and cats don’t chase mice.

The new bill represents a 12% growth in federal spending and contains 5000 earmarks for the Senators and Congressmen. Since there are 535 elected federal legislators, this comes down to 10 dips in the cookie jar for each one of them, but the cookie jar is our money, not theirs.

Some have argued the earmarks only total 4 billion dollars in a 1.1 trillion dollar spending authorization. To put that into perspective, the state budget for South Carolina is $5 billion.

Let’s send the whole bunch home in 2010, pledge now to vote against all the incumbents!
