The Polls and Politicians
In Just a Thought, January 18th, 2010
Would you like to know what the politicians really think about the polls?
While polling for the last 8 months has shown a strong and growing dislike by the public towards the policies being pursued by our current government, the politicians have shown a strong and growing disdain for public opinion.
Continuing to spend money like drunken sailors even though the public is alarmed at the size of the public debt, granting outrageous (not to mention unconstitutional) bribes to secure votes needed for passage while a disbelieving public watches, ramming 1000’s of pages of poorly written bills promoting bigger government through the system in spite of the tea party and town hall protests, these politicians act as if public opinion polls are misguided and not reflective of the public mood.
But what do they really think? Count the number of liberals running for the exit doors afraid to face their constituents this fall.
