Blindside

Did you see the movie “Blindside”?
Blindside is a great movie. Its greatness is in the true story it tells, of the redemption of a young black man cataloged as a failure and abandoned by the public system.
By chance—or should we say divine intervention?—Michael is rescued from the path of failure the public school system had defined for him by a family who cared.
Michael rises to become a star in the NFL, but the amazing truth is not his athletic success, but his academic achievement.
Written off as a low achiever with limited potential by the public system, Michael through the love and encouragement of his adoptive family proves to be an exceptional student.
The tragedy of Michael’s triumph is there are so many other Michaels trapped by our public system in a vicious cycle of underachievement and crime.
The truth is no government system can ever be compassionate. True compassion only comes from a human heart touched by the Master.
