Freedom Anyone?

What unexpected happened last week that shut down big brother government?

If you said, “The Massachusetts miracle, the election of a relative conservative to the U.S. Senate” you’d be half right.

The election of Scott Brown to fill Senator Kennedy’s Senate seat was a critical victory for freedom. Brown campaigned as the 41st vote, the one vote needed to kill the healthcare bill in the Senate. In doing so, he freed us from 2000 pages of bureaucratic regulations. There were more than 3400 new shall and shall nots and a dozen new boards and regulatory agencies in the bill.

But equally as important to our freedom was a Supreme Court ruling knocking down key portions of the McCain/Feingold bill which had given big brother the right to limit our first amendment free speech rights.

It was a good week for personal freedom in America…because it’s been a long time since I’ve heard the liberals gnashing their teeth as hard as they did last week.
