American Exeptionalism

What makes America exceptional?
Whatever it is, it is not race based, as the great melting pot, people from all over the world have come to this country and created great personal success. So, maybe it is the system.
And, what is this exceptional system that unleashes the human potential like no where else on earth? It is the right to keep the fruits of your own labor.
Our first settlement in Virginia, built on a collectivist model failed to gain a foothold. The second, in Massachusetts nearly failed. Starving and destitute, Gov. William Bradford abandoned the communal model they had established and gave each settler their own plot of land to work.
Only then did the Pilgrims flourished and the great American experiment in personal freedom was born. This basic principle is embedded deeply in our founding documents.
The principle? More government, less prosperity; less government, more prosperity. To restore America we must turn Americans loose.
