The Latest Government Spending Fiasco

Have you heard about the latest Congressional spending nonsense?
I know you’re aware of the out of control national debt and the $1.4 trillion deficit projected for this year and next, but apparently your Congress is oblivious. Their foolishness is breathtaking.
Congress has approved spending $50 million to acquire 2,900 acres of beachfront property to be established as a national park. But, don’t plan on ever visiting the park–it’s not in America.
Located more than 1000 miles from Miami, it is the Castle Nugent National Historical Park in the Virgin Islands.
Liberals approved the purchase even though the National Park Service has not recommended it, and at a time when the Park Service has a $9 Billion backlog in maintenance requirements for existing parks.
This kind of idiocy is enough to make you believe that the random selection of 535 citizens from any phonebook in America would do a better job than the current members of Congress.
