Gays in the Military
In Just a Thought, March 5th, 2010
Do you believe it in our best interest to allow Gays to serve in the military?
Soon your government will mandate that gays be allowed to serve openly in the military. You will hear lots of arguments for and against the proposition. None will address the moral issues, but that aside, there is one over riding reason gays should not serve.
Historically, in a battlefield environment, the soldier beside you may very well become your blood bank, necessary for your survival. When gays are serving, that emergency battlefield blood bank is contaminated.
There is a reason that the Red Cross will not allow people engaged in homosexual activity to donate blood, because their blood will contaminate the nation’s emergency blood supply. This screening is not discrimination, there is a very real threat from HIV/Aids.
So, unless Congress is ready to require the Red Cross to take blood from anyone who volunteers, neither should they allow homosexuals to serve in the Armed Forces.
