Did you know that the current administration has reversed the ban on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research?
Besides the pro-life position which rightly believes that experimenting on embryos is tantamount to experimenting on humans, there are two other practical issues that challenge the wisdom of this decision:
If this area of experimentation holds such bright hopes for the cure of everything from Parkinson’s disease to Alzheimer’s and beyond, one would think that private investors would flock to underwrite the efforts. The profit motive should generate the funds needed to develop this miracle?
But wise investors know throwing money at this is extremely wasteful…because the basic problems associated with embryonic, that is immature cell research have been completely overcome by the research being done using more mature stem cells readily available from the umbilical chord.
The primary reason pro-abortionists support embryonic research is that gives abortion a façade of nobility…sacrifice your baby for the betterment of all mankind.
