Just who is to blame for the current mess we are in?
There are lots of places to point the finger of blame.
In the political world Dems blame Republicans and Republicans blame Democrats. The truth is the economy did just fine until the Democrats took over Congress in 2006. It is only since then that the economy has taken a dive.
While DC is a convenient scapegoat and surely has not helped, the real cause of our current crises is the lack of character we as a culture have demonstrated.
Greed and dishonesty have driven us to this point. Our desire for more and more “stuff” coupled with easy credit made available by unscrupulous credit card companies, banks and lending institutions more concerned about turning an immediate profit than about the long term implications of dubious loans has led us to the largest financial crisis in 80 years.
And to solve it…rather than accepting personal responsibility and the consequences, we want a painless bailout.
Regardless of what you hear from Washington…there aint no such thing.
