Dehumanizing Effect Of Big Government

Have you ever experienced the dehumanizing effects of government programs?
I recently had to do business with a government office and ended up waiting over two hours to do 5 minutes worth of business with the government. When I finally got to the window, the young lady who helped me was kind and thoughtful…but the process was painful.
I know we each have horror stories of the problems associated with dealing with government bureaucracies. Some more scary and frightening than others. Just getting a driver’s license renewed can be a half day effort…and don’t get me started on trying to get a real person to answer a government 800 number.
All that said, here we are rushing to embrace another big government program…universal health care. Just let me say this, when the government runs our health care system, it will have the efficiency of the post office and the compassion of the IRS.
Fool me once, shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me.
