What passes for generosity within liberal and Democrat circles?
To understand, compare the way liberals talk about compassion for the underprivileged while seldom giving anything personally to organizations that support those causes.
Since 2000, the Obama family has made nearly $4,000,000, yet they have an aunt living illegally in this country and a half brother in Kenya both living in poverty. More illuminating, from 2000-2005 they gave less than 1% to charities.
The Vice President’s family has given an average of $369 per year for the past 10 years to charities. By contrast, on 1/3 the income, the Palin family gave 10X as much over the same period.
The proof of the Dems generous spirit? They use their power to take taxes from the country’s producers to redistribute to others. It’s called spreading the wealth and it’s painless since they don’t pay their taxes anyway.
