A Real World, Sustainable Budget
In Just a Thought, April 17th, 2009
Is there any rational individual that believes that our nation can sustain the nearly $4 trillion budget submitted by the current administration?
The Republicans in DC have submitted an alternative that:
- Limits the growth of federally mandated spending to a sustainable 3.9%
- Reforms Medicare and Medicaid without nationalizing the healthcare industry
- Keeps Social Security solvent without impacting benefits until 2036 and then only on the top income brackets
- Makes the Bush tax cuts permanent in the short term, and
- Within 10 years offer a simplified income tax system
Offer investment incentives to “kick start” money flowing back into the economy.
All of this is accomplished without the Obama plans to increase taxes $1.5 trillion dollars!
Led by Representative Paul Ryan from Wisconsin, a real world alternative to the Obama fantasy has been proposed…but unfortunately has no chance in the legislature…it’s does not redistribute enough wealth.
