Sovereignty?

What does a deep, long bow from the waist before a king represent?

Before we get too far from Obama’s deep bow before the king of Saudi Arabia, I’d like to examine what it means.

At sea, US Navy ships do not dip their flag to any other vessel except to pull down the colors in surrender.

In diplomatic circles, proper protocol demands that heads of state do not bow to one another, and when they do, it is a sign of submission and/or surrender.

When President Obama bowed so deeply before the king, he was symbolizing American submission to the royal throne of the Saudi government…home of the majority of the 9/11 hijackers.

As a private citizen, he may have been showing proper respect…but he was not there as a private citizen…his bow represented American submission. How shameful, no American president in history has submitted to another sovereign nation.
