Gays and Military Readiness

Are you ready for homosexuals to serve openly in the US military?
Before you answer, consider this:
The number of gays willing to serve will not replace the number of current military careerists that would leave if gays serve openly. Polling says that 10% of today’s military would not reenlist and 14% of careerists would end their careers.
These losses would devastate military readiness.
The change would cause incalculable harm on the battlefield where the “walking blood bank” would be contaminated by the risk of HIV infection. The Red Cross thoroughly screens all blood donors…and gays may not donate…but in battle, if the team member next to you is gay the blood has an increased chance of being tainted.
This policy will also have an immediate impact on the military’s core recruiting constituency…greatly reducing the number of young conservative patriots willing to serve (it is an open secret that liberals don’t volunteer).
