Political Correctness

Just what is political correctness?
At its core, political correctness attempts to establish a single acceptable standard of thought and/or speech on a given subject. For example, hate crimes legislation or radical feminism or alternative lifestyles. It usually involves the use of force…or at a minimum, intimidation to silence opposing views.
On college campuses, throughout government and fully supported in the mainstream media, political correctness is almost always an attempt to advance a concept that cannot survive on its merits where a free exchange of ideas and free expression is championed.
In the free marketplace of ideas, political correctness is a pariah seeking to advance an agenda that cannot be sustained on its merits.
