Today is a day of family celebrations…but just what is a family?
There seem to be a lot of definitions of family in our culture today. Some traditional…some not so traditional…I’d like to propose a definition so radical and un-traditional, yet so desirable and welcoming that all who embrace it find security and warmth and acceptance immediately.
This family is full of love and mutual fellowship. This family is a place where we are always welcome and fully appreciated. It is a place where everyone is concerned about your welfare…where everyone is willing to sacrifice their own agenda, their own comfort to meet your needs.
Sound like a special place…a family we all want to be a part of? It is called the family of God. God Himself has said that to all who believe in Him He has given the power to become His children. What a Dad! What a family! Join us today as all of His adopted children celebrate the birth of their brother and God’s only begotten Son, Jesus.
