Single Parenthood

Are you familiar with the myth surrounding single parenthood?
In Ann Coulter’s new book “Guilty”, she devotes a chapter to the issues that attach to being a single mom…and she has taken some grief for her statements.
It is true that many single moms have been trapped in that circumstance by selfish men who have abandoned their responsibilities and the moms are striving heroically to fulfill the awesome responsibility. The fact remains that whichever party chose to force their children into a single parent situation made a very selfish choice.
Here are the facts. By any measure of wellbeing, children from traditional (mom and dad) homes are statistically better off. Seventy per cent of the people in jail in America today grew up in single parent homes.
A Navy study from the 1990s revealed that the best indicator that a young man or woman would successfully complete their enlistment obligation was…are you ready for this? They came from a two parent (mom and dad) household.
It seems that the creator knew what He was doing when He designed the family.
