Looking Out for #1

Have you noticed how easy it is to decide that everything actually revolves around you?
Take our common experience…driving in traffic…ever notice how irritating it is to follow someone who has the audacity to drive the speed limit when you are in a hurry? Or, conversely, when someone passes you, we know they are driving way too fast.
When you zip past a long row of drivers waiting patiently in line to turn and then cut in front of them at the last moment, you were certainly justified because of your tight and very important schedule. But, if you wait in line and they cut you off, they must be insufferable jerks.
This attitude is not limited to driving…too many of us, too often live our lives in this conceit.
Whatever happened to, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you”?
