Obama’s Revisionist History

What change did President Obama promise if elected?
One change our new president has made is to revise the history of Arab-American relationships to suit his purposes. He has stated he would like to return US/Arab relationships to what they were 30 years ago.
Problem: 30 years ago Iran stormed the US embassy and held Americans hostage in brutal conditions for more than a year, OPEC imposed an oil embargo on America which threw our economy into a long recession, terrorists bombed the US Marine barracks in Beirut and attacked US embassies around the world. They kidnapped and executed the US ambassador to Sudan.
Meanwhile, in the last 17 years we have shed our blood to end Muslim suffering and oppression in Bosnia…Kosovo…in 2 Balkan interventions…Somalia none with any US strategic interests. And we’ve freed millions in Iraq and Afghanistan at great cost.
The President doesn’t have his history quite right as he attempts to appease the Middle East terror regimes.
