Division Over Stimulus Package

Have you noticed the stark difference between the liberals and conservatives over how to get our economy moving again?
There is no disagreement that our economy is struggling but a very real difference in what will best stimulate a recovery.
In simple terms, one side wants to empower the government to decide how best to spend nearly a trillion dollars in taxpayer money. The other side believes that putting the money back into the hands of the taxpayers would be best.
One side wants to suck money out of the economy…wash it through DC and then redistribute it on what seems the most worthy. The other side doesn’t see any need to bring a trillion dollars to DC to be spent but believes you and I can best determine how it should be used to improve our situations.
Although there is ample history to show that laundering the money through a central bureaucracy is inefficient and unproductive, it seems those in charge in Washington are dead set on trying it again.
