Someone Might Be Listening

Have you ever said something you wish you could take back?
Of course, we all have. But the criminal case against impeached Illinois governor Blagojevich, based in large part on taped phone conversations takes this idea to a whole new level.
Caught on tape trying to “sell” the recently vacated Illinois seat in the US Senate, he has been removed from office and faces Federal criminal charges regarding his attempts to profit personally from his public office.
In a recent TV interview, he was asked about the charges. One question in particular was illuminating. He was asked about the crude and vulgar language captured on the tapes.
He responded that of course, if he’d known the conversations were being taped and would be made public he would not have used such colorful language.
It has been truly said that the true indication of the character of a man is what he will do when he thinks no one is looking.
