Have you ever taken any first aid training?

As an Eagle Scout (I probably shouldn’t admit that, it will probably get me on some Homeland Security “risk” list)…we learned if we encountered an accident where one victim was bleeding severely and others were not, that our first priority was to stop the bleeding.

The best was to do that immediately is to apply a tourniquet. However, you must relieve the pressure regularly so that the lack of blood would not destroy the limb.

This principle may be applied to our current economic situation. It may have been that we needed to stop the bleeding…so to apply a tourniquet could be life saving…but to continue the severe pressure, that is to pile up debt upon debt will destroy the economy.

If Congress continues to borrow and spend at the current rate, our free market economy may not recover.
