The Value of a Human Life
In Just a Thought, June 29th, 2009
What value can be placed on a human life?
We seem to be quite hypocritical about the answer to this question. Too many among us value the life of a baby seal or of a convicted serial murderer above the life on an innocent baby. Several years ago, within hours of each other, Princess Di and Mother Theresa died…of those two lives, whose death received the most column inches and headlines?
This last month, an abortionist who, by his own admission executed 60,000 unborn babies and a young Army volunteer private preparing to deploy to Afghanistan to stand between us and the Muslim Jihadists were executed by vigilantes within hours of each other. Whose death received the most attention?
Do not be mistaken…Princess or Saint…abortionist or Army private every life is equally valued by the creator and it is shameful for mere humans to extol some and ignore others based on celebrity.
