Stimulus Spending and Government Effeciency

Did you ever once believe that the trillion dollar stimulus bill passed in February by Congress was the best way to resolve our current crisis?

The Congressional Budget Office said that the bill was worse than doing nothing…it appears they were prophetic.

Recent reports from states trumpeting the jobs being created or saved by stimulus spending must be viewed with a skeptical eye. There are two basic flaws:

All the jobs being counted are government jobs…while everything else is shrinking, your government is adding jobs you’ll be paying for, for decades to come…and;

The numbers show that we’ve spent an average of $400,000 per government job saved…while the average job is paying less than $50,000. In other words, we are sending $400,000 to DC for every $50,000 we’re getting back into our communities.

What a bargain…for the government!

Why would anyone believe the government would be any more efficient at managing our healthcare than they are at stimulating our economy?
