Palin and the Liberals

If Sarah Palin’s political career and public influence are at an end, why are the liberals wasting so much time and money on her?
Recently, Gov Palin wrote an editorial piece in the NYT in which she effectively debunked the global warming myth and labeled the 1 trillion dollar “Cap and Tax” bill that just passed the House, a disaster for the American economy.
Citing very reliable sources she pointed out that warming and cooling cycles on earth are a regular occurrence and not man caused, while also correctly quoting non-partisan sources, reporting that the “Cap and Tax” bill will cost the economy 2.5 million jobs and 9 trillion dollars in economic growth.
Liberal response to this washed up, non-factor? George Soros the billionaire socialist funding most of the radical left wing PR efforts leveled his guns on her vowing she had to be discredited.
Sounds like a lot of dollars and fury to waste on someone who no longer matters.
