Just a Thought...

The shrill whistle that launches each "Just a Thought" is actually a ""Bosun's" pipe. On a Navy ship, when the Captain makes an announcement to the entire crew over the intercom, before he speaks, this shrill "All Hands" signal is heard throughout the ship. This alerts the crew to listen up. Just so, when you hear the whistle from your radio, listen up!

As you look back across this past year, what surprises you the most?

My list of surprises includes

President receives a Nobel Peace prize
Government runs a massive 1.4 trillion dollar deficit
Global warming hoax is exposed
Democracy erupts at tea parties and town hall meetings across the country.

I was also surprised by my own reaction to Chicago being passed over as an Olympic host city. I was glad. Why?
