How do ordinary people effect any significant change in Washington DC?

How do people like you and me make a difference in our federal government?

Only by coming together…by launching a grassroots revolution…by raising one unified voice to call for the changes we need to provide new safeguards for our children’s future security.

Read this famous passage from the Declaration of Independence:

“Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these basic God given rights, it is the right of the people to alter it…Our experience has shown that we are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to rush to change the existing situation. But, when a long history of political corruption and abuse of power threatens the very foundations of the government it is their (the people’s) right, it is their duty, to throw off such government and provide new safeguards for their future security.”

If the current excesses of government…stretching back to the turn of this century, do not constitute an “history of political corruption and abuse of power” that is threatening the foundations of our country, then those words drafted by Thomas Jefferson and affirmed by the brave signers of our declaration have no meaning whatsoever!

To Get Started…

The strategy we are asking you to embrace is to launch a grassroots revolution–the Second American Revolution–to change the constitution and limit the power of Congress to impose new taxes and unimaginable debt upon us and future generations. Above all, you must be willing to vote for a challenger to your incumbent Representative and Senator if your incumbent will not publicly support the Restore America Amendment.

The wonderful Tea Parties of the past few months have uncovered a large and growing dissatisfaction with Washington DC. We must mobilize that growing discontent into an overwhelming wave of coordinated action to change the Congress.

Here are just a few suggestions to get you started (the basic foundation of all this is to use your ingenuity to get the word out using whatever means available):

Whatever you do, stay connected. This will take all of us to make the change.
