Book: The Second American Revolution

It's not too late to save our Country—and this book is designed to give you hope. If you believe that things have gone terribly wrong in Washington DC, that the Republic designed by our founding fathers to promote freedom and prosperity for all has lost its way, and that government "of the people, by the people and for the people" no longer functions to achieve our best interests, then this is for you!

The purpose of this short book is to lay out the rationale and strategy for a Second American Revolution. This book introduces the Restore America Amendment, a Constitutional amendment which would:

  • Establish consecutive term limits for Federal legislators
  • Put Senators and Representatives back to work for their respective states
  • Require a balanced budget
  • Limit government spending to 20% the previous year’s GDP

It’s not too late to save our Country—and this book is designed to give you hope. If you believe that things have gone terribly wrong in Washington DC, that the Republic designed by our founding fathers to promote freedom and prosperity for all has lost its way, and that government “of the people, by the people and for the people” no longer functions to achieve our best interests, then this is for you.

The ultimate goal is to restore the balance of power between the states and the federal government intended by our founders, and to establish a standard of fiscal discipline required for the safety and prosperity of our future generations.

About the Author

Capt. Jim Kinney, US Navy (retired) founded Inspire & Ignite as a non-profit organization to spearhead a grassroots revolution against the systemic corruption so apparent in our federal legislature today. Jim’s true passion is to “see 21st-century America to be the country it was founded to be. I pray that God will continually stoke in me a holy, restless dissatisfaction with the way things are.”

After more than 25 years of active service in the navy (including three commands and a tour on the Joint Chiefs of Staff) he retired at the rank of Captain and was awarded the highest peacetime award authorized by the Department of Defense. Jim then spent the next 10 years leading the Seminar Division of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries, during which time the ministry grew from an average of 600 events annually to more than 2400 events annually. He then joined the staff of one of the largest churches in America where he served until asked to join the Huckabee Presidential Campaign in late 2007.
